Mr. Bamba Camara: President Jammeh Changes the Live of People in Janjanbureh, Mr. Malang Kijera Challenges the Statement
The ongoing political crisis getting contradicts in the administrative town of Janjanbureh, on Monday 16 January, 2017. Political debate of people from different political parties in different venues challenged each other through the media, in Janjanbureh, the headquarters of Central River Region CRR regarding Jammeh's works in the town.
Speaking to Mr. Bamba Camara, the APRC district youth mobiliser for Janjanbureh highlighted the development President Jammeh achieved within the Island of Janjanbureh, saying that, the outgoing President proposes and built the Sulayman Junkun Jammeh bridge. This bridge links Sankulay Kunda in Lower Fulladu East in Central River Region South and the main Island of Janjanbureh, for easy transportation of goods and service, which he means was one of the greatest constraints the natives of the Island was facing.
He also pointing that, Jammeh contributes on the developments of Western education through provision on free education, making students access to all learning implements, and rehabilitate the region 5 directorate structures, adding that he further helped in the completion of Janjanbureh central Mosque which was under construction for long time.
Mr. Camara further buttressed on the heath aspect of the town, stating that President Jammeh had change the primary health care to a major health center in order to maintain certain patients in Janjanbureh heath center without referring them to Bansang hospital. Noting that Bansang is far away from Janjanbureh and some ill people loss their live before reaching to Bansang, but now the establishment of the major health center had reduce the referring of patients to Bansang Hospital.
President Jammeh continues to modernize the Governor's office and resident through the rehabilitation of the Governor's, and the entire staff office, Mr. Camara said. Adding that Jammeh's administration has also established a mighty resting house for the head of state in case of on a tour which is currently on under construction.
He pointed out that, President Jammeh has magnificently supports the young people of Janjanbureh in sports. He said President Jammeh had sponsored the youths of Janjanbureh to organized tournaments, and other youth’s activities.
On his path, Mr. Malang Kijera a prominent loyalist of the elect President Mr. Adama Barrow drastically challenged Mr. Bamba Camara, for saying President Yahya Jammeh had changed the live of the people of Janjanbureh. Shortly after Mr. Camara's face to face with the Voice newspaper correspondent in Janjanbureh, The Coalition loyalist, Mr. Kijera against the statement made by the APRC militant of Jammeh's hard work in Janjanbureh.
Speaking to Mr. Kijera in an interview lamented on the construction of Sulayman Junkun Jammeh bridge, stating that, this bridge had being proposed during the tenure of Sir Dawda Kairaba Jawara in office, but it could not be put in place during that time due to destiny. It is not sponsored by the outgoing President, but a Government revenue use for building the bridge. He acknowledged.
Mr. Kijera appreciated that Jammeh's Government had established a major health center in Janjanbureh, but noting that it is an incomplete heath center, simply because it lacks enough drugs to cure patients, saying that most of the patients going there are prescribe to buy drugs from private Pharmacies. He said empty structures cannot be call heath center, is the human resource and the availability of medication which qualify the structures to be identified as a heath center.
The Coalition loyalist, further challenged Mr. Camara for pointing that, Jammeh's administration had make free education for all and making educational facilities access to everyone. He revealed that the free education Jammeh did is a political motivation, away of attracting people to his party, but is not good for the nation. Look at The Gambia in world standard the free education policy has hinder the progress of some national project as the Nation economic cannot sustain it all, he said.
He also critique, the construction of the mighty resting house in the CRR Governor's office and resident, he pointed out that, President Jammeh have the believe that, he can use this strategy to mobilise people to his party particularly the people of Janjanbureh. Adding that, The outgoing President was having the concept when he wins in Janjanbureh is possible he take the victory Country wide, the purpose of pumping huge amount of money on this structures was to convince the population to his party.
Mr. Kijera, finally challenged Mr. Camara for alleging that, the outgoing president has immensely supported the young people of Janjanbureh in sports, and other youth’s activities. He (Kijera) noted that, Jammeh haven't done anything for the young people of Janjanbureh.
