The Sinchu Alhagie APRC Wing organized their first meeting for the upcoming election held last Friday 14th November, 2016 at the Village centre opposite Taranga FM radio, Kombo North.
In attendance was Balla Garba Jahumpa, Paramount Chief Alh. Demba Sanyang, elders, women leaders as well as cross section of the community.
In his welcoming remarks, Alkalo Salifu Ceesay of Sinchu Alhagie said, his community is always grateful towards the president for providing basic developmental needs in the village which is far more than any other village in this vicinity.
He also called on people to massively vote for Jammeh during the upcoming 1st December 2016 while urging the former members of the APRC members to come back and join the crusade.
For his part, Mr Lamin Ceesay highlighted positive development that has happens during the APRC government that should make the people to have confidence of their position during the election.
Mr Ceesay expressed satisfaction on the level of health accessibility throughout the country especially free maternal and child health, awareness campaign, hospitals and increases the doctor to patient ratio which raises the living condition of both Gambian and Non Gambians living within.
Furthermore, he added the people should go back to the land in order to sustain our selves from the yield we work for by eating what we grow and grow what we eat.
Alh. Kabou Touray Chairman of the village council of elders elaborated on the level of preparedness by his councils and other concern citizens towards the upcoming election as all the necessary ground works has been done and people really understands development.
He compared the developmental aspect of Kombo North before as poor road connection which people suffers a lot if the relatives felt sick and hamper movement of people and goods but now excellent road networks throughout the country.
In his address, Paramount Chief Alhagie Demba Sanyang advised people not to allow any individual to corrupt their minds by misleading information that will only take them backwards and call youths and women to be steadfast for the forth upcoming December election.
Chief Sanyang said the Gambia is very develop compared to 26 years ago where development was limited and was not fairly carried out, while thanking the president for putting people’s interest at heart and promise for his re-election with a clear winning margin.
Hon Balla Garba Jahumpa Minister of Road, Infrastructure and National Assembly matters who doubles as the Secretary General of the APRC said that politics is not all about tribalism but is solely about the country’s development in all areas.
He highlighted numerous services that the APRC regime offers ranging from is free scholarship for tertiary education especially the UTG students, women empowerment, Agriculture which prompted people to always joyfulness towards him (President Jammeh) due to hard work towards this nation.
He claimed that development is not only about talks but it requires hard work and dedication, and the opposition believes in talking than development “I promise the hard working people of the Gambia 2017 will be a year of rejoicing on the uncountable development of infrastructure”. Balla noted.
For her part, Aja Fatou Jallow Women mobilize called on women to reflect on the sacrifices did for them in various areas of life and need to pay the debt of President Jammeh by voting for him because when much is given, much is expected.
She further added that women be cautious on the talkative opposition on their premature agenda and propagandas and APRC is the only party that recognized their privileges.
Mr Musa Njie Old Yundum ward youth mobiliser reminds the community of the rapid development that it has during the past years ranging from excellent road networks, electricity, uninterrupted water, security etc which was a heard thing before.
Musa pointed out that Mama is not a loyal citizen as he served under the auspices of the ruling APRC twice as National Assembly member but later lost the seat dued to lack of dedication towards his duties which resulted to his own community to lack inadequate basic amenities, and now trying to compete the incumbent.
He criticized Mama Kanteh and his GDC to stop fooling youths of Sinchu Alhagie by telling them that the village football field will be fence to a modern centre which is a mere propaganda. He also expressed shock towards youths and women who joined GDC is not for his manifesto but for their own selfish interest which is money.
