Providing an accessible and safe environment for residents of the Community of Brufut Farandingoto inaugurated forty solar powered streetlights on Saturday as part of an ongoing initiative called “Operation Light Up Brufut Farandingoto”.
This project is sponsored by one of their natives, Philanthropist Pa Ousman Fatty. The inauguration of the Forty Solar-powered streetlights is the second of its kind in the community of Brufut Farandingoto and residents heaped praise on the philanthropist behind the initiative, Pa Ousman Fatty for this wonderful gesture.
At the event, Pa Modou Manneh, the Alkalo of Brufut village and Pa Faburama Bojang the Bulunda Head of Brufut Farandingoto, both express sincere thanks and appreciation to the Fatty Kunda Family for putting the development of the community as a high priority.
They then called on all wealthy natives and residents of Brufut, either in this country or in the diaspora, to emulate Pa Ousman Fatty the Sponsor of the Street Lights to invest in development projects which will upgrade the lives of their people.
Bajamba Bojang, a representative of Brufut Council of Elders and Kawsu Yaffa, one of the Kanilo Elders, expressed gratitude for what they described as a great blessing from Allah as their Kabilo is gifted with a heavenly hearted neighbour like Pa Ousman Fatty whose generosity extends beyond the community of Brufut. They pray for the Almighty Allah to multiply his blessings.
Pa Lamin Fatty, on behalf of the Donor and the Fatty Kunda Family, thanked Allah for making the second phase of the streetlighting a dream come true.
A good son or daughter behaves like this, and that is whenever he or she is bestowed with wealth whether here or in the diaspora, his or her focus is to give back to the community by helping the neighbours, relatives, friends and serve humanity at large and this has been Ousman Fatty’s principle. Our family will endeavour to continue to come up with good initiatives that will benefit the community of Brufut.

The streetlights have come for both the children and the adults because, prior to their coming, our streets were dark but now, everywhere is bright, which means we are now closer to heaven. May the aftermath of having these streetlights bring more blessings to us. We are very happy for the generosity from Ousman Fatty the donor.
Sanusi Camara the Kabilo Youth Representative also had some words of appreciation. He said Pa Ousman is determine to bring 40 poles to the community and not a single pole is 100 meters closer to his compound
He said this year, will leave no stone on turn to make sure that his desire is achieve for the community and is a clear manifestation of Pa Ousman’s dedication towards the development of the community.
Momodou Dampha, the Project Supervisor explains his delight at the successful implementation of the second phase of the project.
