A young 28 years girl named Kumba Gaye is currently in need for an oversea treatment due to her diagnosed with Brain Tumor.
She is a kindhearted young woman who has lots of care for her children she taught at Rainbow International Primary School in Fajara.
Brain tumor is a collection, or mass, of abnormal cells in your brain. Your skull, which encloses your brain, is very rigid. Any growth inside such a restricted space can cause problems.
According to the medical report signed by Dr. Lamin Dampha Medical Officer, Edward Francis Small Teaching Hospital wrote Kumba was referred to them from Sheikh Zaid Regional Eye Care Centre on the 15th May, 2020 with a month history of Bilateral proptosis, associated with body sensation, diplopia, gradual decrease of vision and intermittent moderate headache.
Examination revealed that, this young woman with bilateral proptosis (Axial), conscious, alert and oriented, pupillary reactions were moderate. Fundoscopy showed bilateral papilledema.
The report also shows a contract brain CT scan was done for her which showed multilobulated homogeneous enhancement intra and supra Sella solid mass with marginal hyperdense line extending to the posterior cranial fossa with partial destruction of the floor of the Sella Turca. There is mild dilatation of the 3rd and lateral ventricles. Finding of which were consistent with a giant Craniopharyngioma.
Dr. Lamin Dampha therefore recommend Fatou to be treated oversea for quick healing from this predicament.
