The Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the OIC Gambia who is also a season Diplomat with many years of experience both Security, International Relations and Humanity continues to share his opinions and ideas with today's topic as:
Under no circumstances should Gambia and Gambians downplay the urge for the maintenance of law and order. Especially where tranquility and stability are the best options to quench the thirst of production and progress.
The most immediate security threat within The Gambia today is the communication bomb and indifference within a society that is so passive even where and when the behaviourism of talkers or sales agents of inflammatory language remain protected by vengeance, personal vendetta and personal attacks. These pitfalls of the toxic side of society are thrown into the arena of the psyche of our society for nothing good.
Albert Einstein spoke about a communication bomb years ago, projecting his vision into our generation. Today one can hear that bomb ticking so loud between us. Worst of all the bomb is ticking where tempers are rumbling between anger and hate. That is neither politics nor religion it is instead a situation irresponsibility and non chalance trading hate between emotions and desires. We once heard about cyber bullying but in the case of our society it has escalated to cyber dictatorship and cyber brutality.
Our behaviour repels the very meaning of the version that difference in political opinion beautifies democracy. Our culture is being dirtied, our religion is being dirtied and our politics is being dirtied. So many moral adjudicators where moral bankruptcy has been declared by our mindset! What Gambia needs at this point is consensus from Koina to Kartong.
Without which progress will remain a captive. We must never allow hate to usher our society to the shores where it will swallow the bait of hate.
